Who we are and what this policy covers
Tribal Loans Apply ("we," "us," or "our") operates triballoansapply.com, an independent website that compares tribal lenders and publishes consumer guides about tribal loans. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices and rights you have.
This policy covers triballoansapply.com only. It does not cover the websites of lenders, our application partner, or any other third party, even when you reach them through a link on our site.
We are not a lender and do not make credit decisions. Questions about a loan you applied for or received should go to that lender.
Information we collect
Information you give us directly
- Messages. Your name, email address, and anything you write when you email us, request a correction, or contact our editorial team.
- Borrower experience submissions. Your first name, state, the lender you used, approximate loan date, your account of the experience, and any documents you choose to send so we can confirm the loan.
Information entered in the application form
The loan application on our Apply page is provided and operated by our application partner, APIdiamond, and is embedded on our site. Information you type into that form, such as your name, contact details, Social Security number, income, employment, and bank account details, is transmitted to APIdiamond and the lenders in its network. It is collected and handled under their privacy policies, which you should read before submitting. We do not store the contents of the application form on our servers. We may receive limited reports from our partner, such as whether an application was submitted or a loan was funded, which we use to calculate the compensation we are owed.
Information collected automatically
- Device and usage data. IP address, approximate location derived from IP, browser and device type, operating system, referring page, pages viewed, time on page, and clicks.
- Cookies and similar technologies. Small files and scripts set by us and by our analytics providers. See Cookies and analytics.
We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information such as Social Security numbers or bank account numbers through our own pages. That information is entered only in the partner-operated application form described above.
How we use information
- To operate, secure, and improve the site and fix problems
- To answer your messages and process corrections
- To verify and, with your permission, publish borrower experience submissions
- To measure which pages are useful and how visitors find us
- To calculate and reconcile compensation owed by our partners
- To detect fraud, abuse, and security incidents
- To comply with law and respond to lawful requests
We do not use your information to make credit decisions, and we do not build credit profiles.
Cookies and analytics
We use two analytics services:
- Statcounter, which records page views and visit statistics
- Google Analytics 4, if and when we enable it, which reports aggregated audience and traffic data. Google's use of this data is described at How Google uses information from sites that use its services.
The embedded application form may set its own cookies, which are needed for it to work.
Global Privacy Control. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, our pages do not load Google Analytics for your visit, and we treat the signal as a request to opt out of sale and sharing. Statcounter still loads, because we use it only to produce our own traffic statistics and it does not share your data for advertising.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking cookies may prevent the application form from working.
Calls, texts, and email from lenders
We do not call or text visitors. If you submit the application form, you may be asked to agree to be contacted by our partner and lenders by phone, text message, or email, including by automated means. That consent is given to them, under their terms, and is not a condition of using our site. To stop calls or texts from a lender, contact that lender directly or reply STOP to a text message.
How long we keep information
- Emails and correction requests: up to 24 months after the conversation ends
- Borrower experience submissions and supporting documents: documents are deleted within 30 days of verification; published reviews stay online until you ask us to remove them
- Analytics data: according to each provider's retention settings, up to 14 months for Google Analytics
- Records needed for tax, accounting, or legal reasons: as long as the law requires
How we protect information
The site is served only over HTTPS with modern TLS encryption, and we apply security headers that limit what scripts and frames can run on our pages. Access to the messages we receive is restricted to people who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Know what personal information we collect and how we use and share it
- Access a copy of your personal information
- Correct inaccurate personal information
- Delete your personal information
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and of targeted advertising
- Not be discriminated against for exercising these rights
These rights apply to residents of California under the CCPA as amended by the CPRA, and to residents of other states with comprehensive privacy laws, including Colorado, Connecticut, Oregon, Texas, Utah, and Virginia.

Children
This site is for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Links to other websites
Our pages link to lenders, regulators, and other websites. Their privacy practices are their own, and we encourage you to read their policies.
Visitors outside the United States
This site is intended for United States residents. If you visit from elsewhere, your information may be processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in your country.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page when our practices change and revise the date at the top. If we make a material change, we will note it on this page for at least 30 days.
