APR Range Disclosure. Most tribal loans cost between 200% and 800% APR; a few products start lower and some go higher. Why Blue Trust Loans is not in our comparison

Blue Trust Loans is permanently closed and no longer accepts applications.

What Blue Trust offered

When it was operating, Blue Trust made installment loans of roughly $100 to $3,000, repaid over about six to ten months, at APRs between about 471% and 841%. It marketed itself as an alternative to payday loans and offered same-day funding to approved borrowers.

Blue Trust faced a class action lawsuit alleging a rent-a-tribe arrangement, in which outside operators were said to use the tribe's sovereign immunity to avoid state interest rate limits. It has since closed permanently.

If you still owe Blue Trust

  • Find your loan agreement and payment history and keep copies.
  • Identify who now services the loan. If a collector contacts you, you have the right under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act to request written validation of the debt within 30 days of their first notice.
  • Check whether any class settlement covered your loan before paying a collector.
  • If automatic withdrawals continue and you dispute the debt, notify your bank in writing to stop the payments; your bank must honor a stop-payment request made at least three business days before a scheduled transfer.
  • File a complaint with the CFPB or your state attorney general if you believe the debt is invalid.

If you were searching for Blue Trust to borrow
