APR Range Disclosure. Most tribal loans cost between 200% and 800% APR; a few products start lower and some go higher. Actual rates depend on the lender, the product, your state, loan amount, repayment term, and underwriting. These are high-cost loans — read the full terms before accepting any offer. For comparison, federal credit union payday alternative loans cap at 28% APR.

How the Mobiloans fee structure works

Mobiloans does not charge daily interest. Instead it charges a cash advance fee each time you draw, calculated per $20 borrowed and reported at roughly $1.20 to $3.50 per $20, plus a fixed finance charge each billing cycle based on your balance, reported at up to $160. You make minimum payments at least twice a month. A rewards program discounts future fees for on-time payments.

Why the APR depends on you

Because fees are fixed per draw and per cycle, the effective cost depends on how much you draw and how long you carry it. Repay a small draw within a cycle or two and the cost stays lower than most tribal installment loans. Carry a balance for months and the fixed finance charges keep adding up. Our tribal line of credit guide explains the math.

Applying and funding

You apply online, and Mobiloans may check your credit. Once approved, you request cash advances from your account; funds typically arrive within a few business days. You must not be in default on an earlier Mobiloans line to qualify.

Who it may suit

Borrowers with recurring small shortfalls who reliably repay quickly. It is a poor fit for anyone likely to carry a balance for long periods or to keep drawing up to the limit.

What works

  • Lowest published APR floor among tribal lenders we compare, 73.7%
  • Pay fees only on what you draw
  • Rewards program discounts fees for on-time payments
  • Draw again as you repay

What to watch

  • Effective APR up to 405%
  • Two-part fee structure is hard to compare
  • Fixed finance charges accrue every cycle you carry a balance
  • Possible credit check
